About Civia

17 years in the music industry has taught me so much about myself, others, the world, and how people can make their biggest impact. I’ve spent my career in artist management and marketing working with artists such as Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, Flyleaf, Alanis Morissette, and so many more young and developing artists eager to make their mark. I was always inspired by the way a song can connect people from different parts of the world, different cultures, languages and backgrounds. The way lyrics could cut right to the heart and make somebody feel less lonely and like somebody else out there understood a little bit of what they may be experiencing.

In college, I studied psychology and thought I wanted to be a therapist. I always had a passion for helping people. But when I got into the music industry, I discovered so many new ways to help people and be of service. Not only is music and art in itself a way to have an impact on people, but I saw how artists have a unique platform to influence the world. I worked with my clients on social impact and change driven initiatives. I worked with a music non-profit to help bring joy through music to people who were suffering. All of this continued to help drive my own passion for tikkun olam, the Jewish value of making the world a better place that was instilled in me from an early age.

"My mission is to help artists, entertainment industry professionals, and activists use their talents and their minds to create lasting, authentic impact in their lives, careers, and in the world."

Working with artists and professionals in the music industry also gave me a unique insight into the inner workings of peoples’ brains… something that’s always fascinated me. I love reading every self-help and personal growth book I can find and nothing helped me more when it came to coaching and guiding my artist management clients. I loved my career as an artist manager and marketing professional but I started to feel as though I was meant to be doing something even greater.

In 2020, largely influenced by the upheaval brought on by a global pandemic, the fight for racial justice,  the continued rise of antisemitism, and the women’s movement, I discovered my true purpose. Over the years, I’ve worked with many therapists and coaches on my own personal growth and always had a deep understanding of how the unconscious mind influences our feelings, our actions and ultimately how we show up in the world. When we begin to examine and uncover those unconscious thoughts and beliefs and choose what serves us and change what doesn’t… the possibilities are limitless. I saw coaching is a powerful tool to help people in their activism, their artistry, and their lives. It was the best way to marry all of my passions for music, art, mental health & personal development, and social impact. And so, I began my journey to become a certified life coach to help people in the music industry who want to make their biggest impact on the world.
